Rotorura... A city with lots of entertainment

In one long day, we drove from Auckland to Waitomo, then to Rotorura. Finding our campervan park was another adventure for the late evening we arrived. The drive from Waitomo was long, and included a couple mountain passes, best we could tell through the fog (another rainy day). We finally bought a reasonable roadmap for the country!

While in the Rotoroa area, we went to an ammusement park which featured a high speed "luge" ride part way down the mountain. We all did the novice track, and I did the tourist thing by video taping 5 minutes worth of me rattling down the hill. Come on over, we can watch home movies! Jenni, Adriana and I took a few passes down the advanced track. What a blast!
